METHOD FOR REMOVING DEFORMATION OF NASAL WING AFTER UNILATERAL CHEILOPLASTY Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: one should cut triangular skin fragment along the edge of deforming wing and foundation near nasal septum. Nasal vestibular mucosa is dissected at the level of medial pedicle's transition into an arch, the latter is replaced upwards and ahead. Nasal openings are sutured together followed by rotation of precut triangular skin fragment into defect developed followed by its fixation. Moreover, nasal vestibular mucosa is dissected together with a cartilage, and suturing of nasal openings is carried out at the level of wing cartilaginous arches. The method enables to decrease the frequency of relapse of nasal wings deformation and improve both functional and esthetic effect. EFFECT: higher efficiency of operation. 3 dwg, 1 ex
