FIELD: stomatology. SUBSTANCE: adhesive composition contains mixed salts of alkyl vinyl ether/maleic acid copolymer or alkyl vinyl ether/maleic anhydride copolymer, and/or alkyl vinyl ether/maleic anhydride/isobutylene terpolymer wherein cation constituent can be strontium and zinc cations; cation selected from group containing: iron, boron, aluminum, vanadium, chromium, manganese, nickel, copper, yttrium, titanium, and their mixtures; free acid component; and cation selected from magnesium, calcium, and their mixtures. Invention also relates to adhesive composition for dental prosthetics containing above-indicated composition and at least one inadhesive selfcarrying layer. All components are used un specified quantitative proportions. Invention also provides method of increasing adhesion of dental prostheses to oral cavity, for which composition of invention is applied on dental prostheses, directly on oral cavity, palate, or alveolar process in oral cavity, after which dental prosthesis is fixed.
