FIELD: stomatology. SUBSTANCE: adhesive composition contains mixed salts of alkyl vinyl ether/maleic acid copolymer wherein cation constituent can be zinc cation; cation selected from group containing: iron, boron, aluminum, vanadium, chromium, manganese, nickel, copper, yttrium, titanium, and their mixtures; free acid component; adhesion-effective amount of magnesium cation; and adhesion-effective amount of cation selected from calcium, strontium and their mixtures. Invention also relates to adhesive composition for dental prosthetics containing above-indicated composition and at least one inadhesive self-carrying layer and also to a method of increasing adhesion of dental prostheses to oral cavity, for which composition of invention is applied on dental prostheses, directly on oral cavity, palate, or alveolar process in oral cavity, or composition is applied on both mentioned areas, after which dental prosthesis is fixed on alveolar process or on palate in oral cavity.
