FIELD: anesthesiology, surgery, and traumatology. SUBSTANCE: mixture of preparations consisting of 2% solution of lidocaine in dose 3 mg/kg and clonidine in dose 3 mg/kg is portionwise injected into epidural cavity. When prolonged anesthesia is needed, the same mixture of preparations is readministered 2 h later in amount 1/2 the initial dose.
