FIELD: tire industry; pneumatic tires. SUBSTANCE: in proposed pneumatic belted-bias tires with metal cord breaker with large width of profile, layers of metal cord breaker are formed of three parts with overlapping and direction of step of overlap to opposite sides in different layers of breaker. Threads of cord in first and second layer parts are intersecting, size of overlapping of breaker layer parts being 30-50 mm. Angles of tilting of breaker cord threads are within 50 and 60^o. Said size of overlap is sufficient to prevent separation of breaker parts at edges. Invention makes it possible to use breaker straps of reduced width when assembling wide cross-section tires. Said breaker straps can be made on standard cutting machines. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 cl, 2 dwg
