FIELD: glass industry. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a method of glass production in a float-furnace. At that the device represents a furnace, that has a melting zone, a clarification zone and a conditioning zone, that is interlinked with the clarification zone. Outlet of the conditioning zone leads into the float-channel. Mixing is exercised by the rabbles having the shafts protruding downwards in glass-melt and an agitator having as a whole a rectangular profile and the major and small axes of the different sizes located coplanary with the shaft axis in the conditioning zone near to an entry in the float-channel. The rabbles are rotating in opposite directions with speed of 2-20 rpm and out of phase to each other. At that they ensure mixing of the glass being stirred from one side to another in width, at least equal to the width of the float-channel, and the glass running to the float-channel along the conditioning zone butts walls is send back in direction to the rabbles and agitator located above streamflow.
