FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device to make glass fibres from final flow of fused glass comprises, at least, two separate melting modules, both allowing simultaneous or alternate making vitrifiable material melt. Module A(1) is equipped with heaters composed of air torches and/or submersible electrodes whereto vitrifiable material is fed. Module B(2) is equipped with submersible plate or plates whereto vitrifiable materials are fed for making foamed glass. Both said modules cab be directly interconnected or connected via transfer channels with mixing module C(3). Said mixing module is provided with, at least, one mixer selected from bubblers or submersible plates. There is no glass clarification chamber between module B(2) and module C(3). Mixing module is connected directly with channel feeding glass forming devices.
EFFECT: flexible control over melting device efficiency.
