FIELD: mechanical engineering; exhaust systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed muffler contains cylindrical housing with outlet branch pipe installed in its end face wall, outlet hole and acoustic chambers formed by shells installed coaxially one in the other and adjoining, by bases, end face wall of housing. Length of shells increase in direction from housing wall axis. Hollow conical acoustic chambers are installed coaxially in acoustic chambers with their tops pointed to outlet branch pipe, diameter of said chambers increasing as diameters of shells increase. Turbine blades are installed on outer part of base of conical acoustic chambers over entire length of base circumference. Perforated truncated housing is installed before inlet hole coaxially with housing, being pointed by top to inlet branch pipe. Perforated branch pipe is installed in vertex of cone. EFFECT: improved efficiency of noise damping, reduced hydraulic resistance of muffler. 1 dwg
