FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: silencer has cylindrical housing with the inlet branch pipe mounted on its end face wall, outlet opening, and acoustic chambers defined by axially alined shells. The bases of the shells tightly abut against the end face wall of the housing. The lengths of the shells are increased with the distance from the axis of the housing. Hollow trancated conical acoustic chambers are mounted coaxially inside the acoustic chambers. The tops of the chambers point the inlet branch pipe. The base diameter of the chambers is increased with the diameter of the shells. The outer portion of the base of the trancated conical acoustical chambers are provided with turbine blades over the whole length of the base periphery. EFFECT: enhanced silencing. 1 dwg
