FIELD: technique for infrared radiant heating of rooms in system for their autonomous (decentralized) heating with possibility of uniform heating of burner branch. SUBSTANCE: method for heating U-shaped irradiator by means of elongated torch in burner branch, namely by means of partial recirculation of exhaust combustion products comprises steps of setting coefficient of primary air consumption in gas-air mixture in range 0.5 - 0.7; realizing recirculation of exhaust combustion products to annular gap between body of irradiator and intermediate partition; selecting length value of intermediate partition consisting 10 - 15 diameters of irradiator body; setting volume of recirculated exhaust combustion products in range 30 - 50% of volume of total gas-air mixture by means of throttling device; placing units for intensifying heat exchange from flow of exhaust combustion products to body of irradiator in respective branch of irradiator. EFFECT: enhanced uniformativity of heating burner branch of irradiator at minimum emission of nitrogen oxides. 3 cl, 1 dwg
