FIELD: code-division-multiple access communication systems; high-speed data transmission and reception systems. SUBSTANCE: method is used for assigning orthogonal codes to first and second systems in CDMA communication system incorporating first-system channels for expanding pilot signal, sync signal, paging signal, and graphics signal by first set of orthogonal codes corresponding to numbers of orthogonal codes in different lines of set of orthogonal codes integrated in matrix of m lines and m columns, as well as secondsystem channels for expanding second set of orthogonal codes other than that of mentioned orthogonal codes for first set of orthogonal codes. Second-system orthogonal codes transfer data at speed higher than that of data transfer by second system. Method boils down to assignment of orthogonal codes corresponding to numbers of orthogonal codes from set of orthogonal codes coupled with at least one of 2n lines by firstsystem channel, set of orthogonal codes being integrated into matrix of subset of orthogonal codes and inverted orthogonal codes; each subset has 2n lines and 2n columns, and second system is assigned orthogonal codes corresponding to numbers of orthogonal codes of set of orthogonal codes coupled with at least one of remaining lines. EFFECT: enhanced speed of voice signals and data exchange. 13 cl, 3 dwg
