FIELD: agriculture, in particular, production of feed additives for farm animals and birds. SUBSTANCE: feed additive composition comprises, wt%, animal and/or bird feces 55-65; moisture absorbing carbonaceous material 20-25; complex microelement additive 0.1-2.5; water the balance. Method involves agitating basic mixture at rate of 800-1,200 rev/min; charging resultant mixture into fermenter and blowing with oxygen-containing gas at temperature of 40-80 C, with following cooling and discharging of product. Upon cooling, complex vitamin mixture is preferably added to end product in an amount of 2-5% by weight of dry feed additive. Feed additive composition is ecologically clean product free of pathogenic bacteria, toxins, and chemical substances. Feed additive is properly balanced with regard to macro- and micro elements, has improved digestibility properties and is highly nutritive.
