FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: material is stabilized with yttrium oxide additionally has oxide of a metal as stabilizing ingredient. The metal oxide is selected from a group containing calcium oxide, magnesium oxide, strontium oxide, scandium oxide, and rare earth element oxides from europium to lutetium. The ingredients are to be taken in the following proportions in % by mole: yttrium oxide - 0.5-4.5, stabilizing ingredient - 0.1-4.5, zirconium oxide - the rest. Cutting surgical instrument has blade with stem and blade holder for rigidly fixing the blade. The blade is manufactured from material based on zirconium dioxide from single crystal. The crystal has nanocrystallic structure with domen sizes less than 200 nm having no separation borders. It is stabilized with yttrium oxide and additionally stabilized with Metal oxide is used as the ingredient.
