METHOD FOR APPLYING CONTROLLED COMPLEX TREATMENT OF CHILDREN FOR REFRACTION AMBLYOPIA IN ASTIGMATISM CASES Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2220686 C2

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves illuminating eye retina with light impulse. Then, a test object like black strip on semitranslucent white background enclosed into black tube is shown to a patient. The test object is rotatable and reciprocating along the longitudinal symmetry axis of the tube. The black strip is directed along amblyopia meridian and is at a distance of distinct vision apart from the eyeball. Reciprocating movement of test object is performing along longitudinal symmetry axis in reception field of amblyopia meridian to the strip bifurcation moment. The test object is returned into distinct vision area. 10 sessions like this one are carried out. The treatment courses are continued until maximum vision acuity is achieved. The, antero-posterior eyeball axis length is measured and refraction change gradient is determined one year long. Dosed surgical intervention after Lasick is carried out with planned refraction change to the age of 16 years by forming superficial corneal flap, its bending and treating stroma tissues with excimer laser to achieve spherical hypermetropia of light degree of the same magnitude with paired eye hypermetropia. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 2 dwg
