FIELD: medicine, cardiology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of patients with sick sinus node syndrome. For this purpose and in the absence of disorders of cerebral/systemic circulation and in reducing cardiac beats and elevating recovery time of sinus node function by less 280 ms after medicine vegetative blockade atenolol is prescribed in the dose 12.5 mg, 2 times per a day for two weeks and then the dose is doubled. Preparation is dosed for 6-24 months. Method provides reducing symptoms of circulation insufficiency and constant ciliary arrhythmia. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.
