FIELD: medicine, cardiology. SUBSTANCE: through-esophagial cardiostimulation is carried out to patient for 30 s after preliminary i. v. administration of obsidan at the rate 1 mg/min at the dose 0.2 mg/kg and atropine at the dose 0.02 mg/kg. After stimulation ceasation corrected time of sinus joint function recovery is determined by subtraction of initial interval R-R (as ms) from time of sinus joint function recovery. At corrected time less or equal 280 ms symptomatic hypertension is diagnosed, at value above 280 ms essential hypertension is diagnosed. EFFECT: improved method of diagnosis.
