DEVICE FOR REMOTE CONTROL OF VEHICLE AXLE BOX TEMPERATURE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2220866 C1

FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for checking condition of axle boxes of railway passenger cars, freight cars and any other vehicles operating on railways. Proposed device contains electronic mark made for remote transmission of information to track devices located along railway and coupled with temperature transmitter by means of two conducting wire elements connected to electronic mark signal code setting circuit. Electronic mark is installed inside cup-like member secured on head of one of bolts designed for fastening cover to axle box. Temperature transmitter contains case made in form of thin-walled tubular member tightly fitted through its surface to side surface of inner space of said bolt. Bushing made of electric insulating material placed inside case is provided with through channels to accommodate conducting wire elements of electronic mark, fusible link made of conducting material with preset melting temperature, layer of paraffin. Fusible link is placed between bare ends of conducting wire elements being in direct contact with ends with layer of paraffin. EFFECT: improved safety of traffic owing to increased accuracy of checking axle box heating. 9 cl, 3 dwg
