FIELD: shipbuilding; water-jet propellers. SUBSTANCE: proposed water-jet propeller has housing including water line with protective grate at flow inlet and inspection port, straightening apparatus and swivel nozzle and astern running damper which are interconnected together; fairing and impeller arranged inside housing are fitted on propeller shaft. Protective grate is provided with knives with rounded-off shorter sides; cover of inspection port is made in form of stepped cylinder whose inner end is extension of water line surface. EFFECT: reduced labor consumption; reduced power loss factor. 3 dwg
