FIELD: aviation; helicopter equipment. SUBSTANCE: proposed stabilizer consists of two halves located symmetrically on tail boom . Each half includes spar, ribs, tail stringer, diaphragm, frontal fairing made from duralumin sheet, detachable tip fairing made from glass fabric and stabilizer skin with at least one drainage hole. Skin is made from metal sheet and is connected with flanges of spar, ribs and tail stringer by means of rivets abut with frontal and tip fairings. Drainage holes are made in each compartment formed by ribs. Skin may be made from duralumin sheet , 0.5 mm thick. Tail stringer may be flat; it may be located in plane of stabilizer chord after tail section of ribs. Skin after tail section of ribs may be provided with under-cuts forming flanges which are parallel to plane of tail stringer. Additional diaphragms may be mounted in root compartments of stabilizer in parallel to spar; their flanges are connected with skin and with walls of ribs. Tail stringer may be made from composite material. Under-cuts of skin are so made that riveted joint of skin with tail stringer gets enclosed in aerodynamic profile of stabilizer.
