FIELD: control over density of liquids with similar physical and chemical properties. SUBSTANCE: velocity of propagation of ultrasonic waves in liquid is measured in accordance with method and density of liquid is determined by it. Dependencies of velocity of propagation of ultrasonic sound on temperature and velocity of propagation of ultrasound on density for class of liquids with similar physical and chemical properties are established beforehand. Two neighboring dependencies of velocity of propagation of ultrasound on density of liquid are chosen with allowance for velocity of propagation of ultrasound determined at fixed temperature, theoretical dependence of velocity on density for tested liquid is formed and used to determine liquid density. Dependence of velocity of propagation of ultrasound on density for tested liquid is formed by comparison of value of velocity obtained by measurement and computed values with establishment of two least absolute deviations and construction of theoretical dependence of velocity on density for tested liquid by values of these deviations. EFFECT: expanded functional potential of existing method of measurement of density for class of liquids with similar physical and chemical properties and for their mixtures in wide temperature range. 6 dwg, 1 tbl
