FIELD: underwater acoustics, underwater research, determination of hydrophysical heterogeneity of ocean, in particular. SUBSTANCE: in compliance with invention complex signal is emitted and received in distant point by three receivers of particle velocity identical in sensitivity, orthogonally oriented in space and having single phase center. Convolution of received and emitted signals is computed across output of each receiver of particle velocity, fragments of signals spaced in time and maxima of voltages in proper channels are found, horizontal and vertical angles are computed by mathematical expressions. EFFECT: simultaneous determination of both horizontal and vertical angles of arrival of signal under multibeam conditions, simplification of method. 6 dwg
