FIELD: food engineering. SUBSTANCE: heat-generating closure has thin layer of microwave energy absorber applied to metal surface for heating of heat-generating closure. Said closure provides loading of microwave oven magnetron required for stable and efficient operation thereof at substantially lower (an order) volume of absorber as compared to known heat-generating members of commensurable sizes and, accordingly, at reduced thickness of applied absorber layer. For example, thickness of mixtures of carbonyl iron powders and Alsifer alloy does not exceed 0.2-0.3 mm. Agglomeration of mixture on metal surface allows conglomerate with improved thermal, mechanical and adhesive properties to be obtained, said properties being acceptable for prolonged usage of vessel as domestic utensil. Usage of small volume of absorber is provided owing to usage of closure defined by walls of radial resonator of flat or dome-shaped configuration. One of closure walls facing inside vessel is coated at inner side of resonator with layer of absorbing material and other wall is provided with central opening for switching of resonator as microwave loading to receiving antenna arranged above said wall and excited by microwave oven chamber fields. Closure of such construction is adapted for high-temperature treatment of food product in microwave oven for browning or frying thereof in the same utensil used for preparing of food product owing to direct action of microwave energy. EFFECT: increased efficiency by creating in the vicinity of food product of required temperature owing to convection and thermal radiation from heated closure surface. 4 cl, 3 dwg
