FIELD: polymer production. SUBSTANCE: invention provides process of producing polyamide formed in reaction of at least one dibasic acid with at least one diamine, which is characterized by containing following stages: preparation of first dibasic acid-diamine mixture (M2) with acid-to-diamine molar ratio 1.005-1.2; preparation of second dibasic acid-diamine mixture (M3) with acid-to-diamine molar ratio 0.8-0.995; feeding in melt form first stream of M2 and second stream of M3 into polymerization reactor at stirring; discharging polyamide prepolymer stream from reactor and passing this stream to final treatment stage to achieve desired degree of polymerization. Mixture of M2 and M3 streams is simultaneously analyzed to find ratio of acid and amine functional groups and flow rate of at least one of the M2 and M3 mixture streams is corrected according to result of analysis in order to maintain desired proportion between acid and amine functional groups, deviation of this proportion from desired value being preferably no mote than 0.0005.
