METHOD FOR UNLOADING OF AMMUNITION Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: salvaging of ammunition, in particular, methods for unloading of ammunition by washing-out of explosive from the ammunition cases. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in washing-out of the explosive from the case by a jet of high-pressure liquid fed to the open surface of the explosive through an extension with a nozzle, whose axis is preset by rotation about the own axis at speed n₁ and rotation about the ammunition axis at speed n₂ equal to n₁, washing out of explosive is conducted in layers, setting the rod motion from the ammunition axis to the case. The explosive is washed out setting in each layer a motion from the ammunition axis to the case according to the Archimedean spiral. The jet is always directed perpendicularly to the line tangent to the surface of the washed out explosive, and after washing-out of each layer of the explosive the extension is reset to the initial position, in which the axis of the rod head coincides with the ammunition axis, and then in the axial direction at a definite speed to a definite distance. EFFECT: simplified procedure of extraction of the explosive and enhanced capacity of the unloading process. 2 cl, 3 dwg
