INSTALLATION FOR HYDROCAVITATION DISABLING OF AMMUNITION AND REGENERATION OF EXPLOSIVES Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2195630 C1

FIELD: salvaging of military equipment and ammunition, in particular, disabling and salvaging of artillery shells of various calibres. SUBSTANCE: installation has a closed circuit of circulation of working water with washout tools for destruction of explosive charges in shells by cavitation jets that is connected to the line of explosive regeneration to a marketable product, and a conveyer line for delivery of holders with disabled shells into an explosion-proof box with a horizontal jig of precise holder fit for provision of alignment of shells with the washout tools. The holder on the jig has means for shell rotation. The mass discharge receptacles have detachable means of communication with the shell cavities. The jig has drives of reciprocating motion of the washout tools to the shell cavity and receptacles of mass discharge from the shells being disabled. The installation provides for destruction of explosive charges directly in the shell body and extraction of the explosive in the form of aqueous suspension with a subsequent regeneration to a marketable product for use in direct purpose, or processing to new high-demand useful products. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 9 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
