GEAR FOR DEPOSITION OF POLYMER POWDER COATS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: deposition of protective, anticorrosion, decorative and other polymer powder coats in various branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: gear has powder container with intake tube, handle with hand shoe for embracement, air vent and lever to open air vent connected on one side to source of compressed air and on the other side to air conduit. Barrel housing electrizer coming in the form tube made of polymer material displaying high triboelecric charge capability. Internal cross-section of electrizer tube has shape of narrowing cone, cylinder of small diameter, expanding cone and cylinder of large diameter connected in sequence. Ejector is formed by part of electrizer on side of narrowing cone, intake tube of powder container and air nozzle linked to air conduit in handle. Powder container divided by membrane into two parts is joined to ejector. Upper part of it is closed by cover and its lower part communicates with atmosphere through hole. Electrizer tube is made of polymer material showing abrasive resistance, electrizer is mounted in barrel for longitudinal movement relative to air nozzle and is made of several interjoined coaxial parts and is embraced from outside by current conducting grounded barrel. EFFECT: raised functional efficiency of gear due to increase of electrostatic charge transmitted by particles of paint and uniform feed of air and powder mixture into electrizer and on to coated surface in process of painting. 1 cl, 2 dwg
