SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods of processing sheet material, in particular banknotes, using automated counting and sorting complexes intended for use in cash-collection centers. Method of sheet material processing by means of robotic complex includes sorting, checking to established criteria, sheet material recalculation in counting-sorting machine (CSM), banding of sheet material piles, as well as capturing and checking availability of sheet material, which fell from processed stack when it is moved from working pocket of CSM in bander, with subsequent movement into separate accumulator of dropped banknotes and corresponding incomplete roots. Robotic complex comprises protective enclosure with sluices, inside which robot manipulator is arranged; CSM; bander; mechanism for collecting sheet material, providing possibility of trapping banknote robot-manipulators dropped from grip when moving processed pile from working pocket of CSM into bander; correctly formed roots accumulator; accumulator of incomplete roots and dropped sheet material; accumulator of temporary storage of sheet material. Robotic complex also includes a vision unit ensuring detection of sheet material on the working surface of the sheet material collection mechanism.

EFFECT: technical result is expansion of functional capabilities of sheet material processing method and robot complex used for this method implementation.
