FIELD: manufacture of tubes with helical corrugations. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes carriage; housing joined with it; clamping members mounted with possibility of rotation around axis of apparatus and with possibility of motion of their working surfaces in direction "axis of apparatus - its periphery" when clamping members are engaged with first link of rotary kinematic pair whose second link is joined with drive unit of clamping members with possibility of reciprocation motion relative to housing. Apparatus includes shaft rotatably mounted in housing, fixed against axial displacement and joined with clamping members with possibility of motion of their working surfaces in direction "axis - periphery" and it also includes members allowing to join shaft with rotation drive unit. Housing is rigidly joined with carriage. Clamping members are mounted in inclined guides of shaft. Rotary kinematic pair is mounted in such a way that its rotation axis coincides with axis of apparatus. Thrust rolling bearings provide limitation of mutual axial motion of links of rotary kinematic pair and axial fixation of shaft relative to housing. Shaft is mounted with possibility of rotation relative to housing due to their connection through rolling bearing assemblies. Rotation drive includes coupling, running over and safety clutches. Constructional parts of apparatus are placed with possibility of forming inner through zone around axis of apparatus; size of cross section of said zone is no less than outer diameter of made tube. EFFECT: lowered size and metal consumption of apparatus, enlarged manufacturing possibilities. 13 cl, 3 dwg
