FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: before start-up of the reactor its surface is treated by flushing with vapour-liquid acid solution at temperature of 100-200°C and further neutralisation with aqueous base solution 0.0001-1 wt %. Neutralisation is ceased when flow medium reaches value of pH 8-9.5 at the reactor output.
EFFECT: reduced coke formation at inner surface of the reactor.
