FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in all branches of industry as power transmission mechanism of general application. Proposed planetary reduction gear contains housing, slow-speed shaft whose end face is made in form of bowl with crown wheel on its inner surface, modular planet pinion units, carrier, run and crown wheels. Each modular planet pinion unit is made in form of separate independent assembly unit. Housing of carrier is assembly unit consisting of two rigidly coupled parts-base with two end trunnions, and end face-support flange, as is provided with central seats for mounting drive shaft with sun wheel and coaxial seat holes for mounting modular planet pinion units. Inner part of base is made hollow, with one stepped seat hole for fitting end face-support flange of housing for detachment.
