FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making circular incision and separating conjunctiva and Tenon's capsule, separating direct muscles, transecting oblique muscles and optic nerve, implanting insert into muscle funnel cavity, suturing direct muscles to each other and setting thin-walled cosmetic eye prosthesis. Before removing eyeball, the autosclera is sutured with suture material and the eyeball is caught by grasping the suture material. Evisceration is carried out on enucleated eye. Mechanical autosclera cleaning being over, it is treated in vitro with 3% hydrogen peroxide solution followed by washing with physiological salt solution and treating with antibiotic solution. Autosclera cavity is tamponed with implant and the insert is arranged in orbit cavity in a way that anterior implant surface is fully covered with autosclera. The direct muscles are sutured to autosclera with tendon completely retained on autosclera strip. Thin-walled cosmetic prosthesis is set after suturing Tenon's capsule. Carbon felt, silicon or costal cartilage is usable as implant when making sclera cavity tamponade. EFFECT: increased size of movable supporting ocular stump; increased movement range of eye prosthesis; reduced risk of implant rejection. 2 cl
