FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of early unknown quaternary ammonium compounds of type penta-[poly(ethyleneoxy)- carbonylmethyl]ammonium-derivatives of trinuclear triphenols eliciting fungistatic activity that can be used for control of fungal damages in medicine, veterinary science and agriculture. Invention describes penta-[poly(ethyleneoxy)carbonylmethyl] ammonium-derivatives of trinuclear triphenols eliciting fungistatic activity. Method for preparing the proposed compounds involves interaction of monochloroacetic acid with alcohol component in the presence of acid catalysts in medium of boiling solvent and with azeotropic removing formed water and the following treatment of prepared product with amines at heating. As an alcohol component oxyethylated product of condensation of alkylphenols with 4,4-dimethyldioxane 1,3-(oxal) is used; as a catalyst -H⁺-form of cation-exchange resin KU-2 is used; as amines compounds R¹R²R³N are used wherein at R¹ is C₁₂-C₁₄-alkyl; R² is CH₂CH₂O(CH₂CH₂O)_aH; R³ is CH₂CH₂O(CH₂CH₂O)_bH; a + b the general oxyethylation degree; in the molar ratios oxyethylated product : monochloroacetic acid : amines = 1 : (5.0-5.5) : (0-5.1), respectively.
