FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in high-speed rotors of machines and instruments. According to invention, damping unit including damper contains movable element with bearing for flexible support of rotor with centering springs in its upper part and hinge resting in reservoir of housing filled with damping liquid. Surface of damping liquid in reservoir is covered by heat-conducting cover on which thermoelectric cooler with vacuum electric supply leading- ins is installed. One of surfaces of thermoelectric cooler is connected to cover, and the other is connected through heat-conducting plate with housing of damping unit. Heat -insulating gasket placed between cover and housing serves simultaneously as seat for cover peripheral part. EFFECT: reduced consumption of damping liquid, decreased contamination of working medium by vapors of damping liquid, reduced amount of reactive substances and products of reaction. 1 dwg
