FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: technical result of invention lies in increase of measurement accuracy and sensitivity to measured current, in expansion of measurement range, in utilization for processing of measurement results of optical phase memory of resonance medium subjected to effects of time-separated laser pulses in presence of longitudinal magnetic field. Proposed method of optoelectronic measurement of electric current in high-voltage power lines is based on use of optico- electron current transformer with internal light modulation depended on non-Faraday turn of polarization vector of used signal of primary or stimulated photon echo. Angle of turn depends on intensity of magnetic field carrying information on measured current of high-voltage power line, on interval between exciting laser pulses allowing ranges of measurement of current in high-voltage power line to be retuned and does not depend on length of travel of exciting laser pulses and photon echo in resonance medium. EFFECT: increased measurement accuracy and sensitivity to measured current. 1 dwg
