TELESCOPE AND GEAR TO CONTROL ITS MOTION Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2223523 C2

FIELD: telescopes. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to telescopes designed to be mounted aboard spacecraft or on the Earth in point where emergence of inertial forces is undesirable. Invention is aimed at design of such telescope in which inertial force created by motion of telescope is compensated and effect of motion of telescope on spacecraft in which it is mounted is eliminated. This technical result is secured thanks to fact that telescope incorporating reflecting mirror, condenser and camera or eye-piece installed in body of telescope carries in addition at least one counterweight which executes rotary motion in direction opposite to direction of motion of body of telescope directed on viewed object so that inertial force caused by rotary motion of body of telescope can be compensated. Collection of counterweights can be installed on circular perimeter of lower part of reflecting mirror or on circular perimeter of part of base which carries reflecting mirror or counterweight can be positioned between reflecting mirror and part of base on which reflecting mirror is so mounted that lower surface of reflecting mirror and lower part of base are interconnected. Apart from this each counterweight can be installed with the aid of drive. In accordance with invention there are envisaged other variants of installation of counterweights. EFFECT: eliminated effect of motion of telescope installed in spacecraft on spacecraft. 9 cl, 20 dwg
