FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for acylation of aromatic compound of the formula (I): wherein: A means benzene cycle residue; radical or radicals R are similar or different and mean one of the following groups: linear or branched alkyl comprising 1-6 carbon atoms but preferably 1-4 carbon atoms, such as methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl, butyl, sec.-butyl, tert.-butyl, linear or branched alkoxy-group comprising 1-6 carbon atoms but preferably 1-4 carbon atoms, such as methoxy, ethoxy, propoxy, isopropoxy, butoxy; radical of the formula -R1-X wherein R1 means valent bond; X means halogen atom but preferably chlorine, bromine or fluorine atom; n = 4 or less but preferably 0 or 1. Method for preparing involves reaction of indicated compound with acylating agent of the formula (II): wherein X' means chlorine atom; R3 means linear or branched alkyl comprising from 1 to 12 carbon atoms but preferably 1-4 carbon atoms. Reaction is carried out in the presence of zeolite catalyst and involves mixing aromatic compound and acylating agent by any manner. Prepared mixture is passed through tube reactor comprising immobile catalyst bed and reaction mixture coming out from catalytic bed is recirculated through catalytic bed as many times as necessary for providing the desirable conversion degree of aromatic compound.
