FIELD: technology of installation of rubber sheets on metal surfaces. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a method of installation of rubber sheets on metal surfaces, that may be used predominantly for production of covers made of rubber sheets in shipbuilding, machine-building, construction and other industries. The method of installation of rubber sheets on metal surfaces provides for usage of technological bush-type bosses fixed on this surface. Holes are made in the rubber plates fit for the bush-type bosses. Plates are stacked on a metal surface one by one and fixed. The holes in the plates are made with dimensions ensuring installation in them of bush-type bosses with interference. The bush-type bosses are installed in the holes so that mounting surfaces of plates and the bush- type bosses would be in the same plane. The plates together with the bush-type bosses are laid on a metal surface with the given positive allowance. Then they execute fastening the bush-type bosses to a metal surface through apertures available in them. Fastening of the technological bush-type bosses to a metal surface may be executed by welding. The technical result of implementation of the invention consists of installation of bush-type bosses on a metal surface according to a required positive allowance and in accurate fixation of the plates on the bush-type bosses that ensures obtaining at installation of positive allowances of the given sizes including minimum sizes of up to 0.5 mm between the plates or between a plate and a structural member on the metal surface.
