FIELD: metallurgy; production of steel for the for the fastening elements of the steam-power installations of ships and atomic power plants. SUBSTANCE: the invention refers to metallurgy, in particular to the structural steel for production of the fastening elements of steam turbines, boilers and high pressure vessels, flanged couplings of pipelines, etc. It presents the steel for the fastening elements of the steam-power installations of ships and atomic power plants, that contains components in the following ratio (in mass %): carbon 0.31 - 0.39; silicium 0.17 0.37; manganese 0.5 0.8; chromium 0.8 1.10; nickel 0.05 0.3; copper 0.05 0.3; cerium 0.005 0.05; calcium - 0.001 0.005; nitrogen 0.005 0.05; sulphur 0.005 0.035; phosphorus - 0.005 0.035; iron - the rest. At that the total content of nickel and copper does not exceed 0.45 %, the total content of carbon and nitrogen does not exceed 0.4 % and the total content of sulfur and phosphorus does not exceed 0.05 %.
