FIELD: metallurgy, in particular constructive steels.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to constructive steels for manufacturing of high-safe shaft-lines for modern ships and arctic vessels. Claimed steel contains (mass %) carbon 0.32-0.38; silicium 0.2-0.37; manganese 0.25-0.45; chromium 1.2-1.5; nickel 1.2-1.5; copper 0.05-0.2; molybdenum 0.32-0.4; vanadium 0.1-0.3; aluminium 0.005-0.01; cerium 0.005-0.05; nitrogen 0.005-0.05; sulfur 0.005-0.020; and balance: iron, provided that total content of carbon and nitrogen is at most 0.4; total content of nickel and copper is at most 1.6; and total content of sulfur and phosphorus is at most 0.04.
EFFECT: ship's shaft-lines of improved maintainability and increased total operating reserve.
