SUBSTANCE: the helical heat exchanger has a vertical body with outer headers of inlet and outlet of the working media and a heat exchange surface positioned in the body in the form at least of one bifilar helix oriented across the body, the headers of inlet and outlet of the working media are made in pairs, in each of them the header of the intertube medium is positioned inside the header of the tube medium is positioned inside the header of the tube medium, and both pairs of the headers are built in the body diametrically relative to each other, the body proper in the points of joint to each of the mentioned pairs of headers is made with a longitudinal slot, and the ends of the bifilar header are brought apart relative to each other and brought out in the respective headers from the opposite sides of the body through its longitudinal slots through the headers of the intertube medium. EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions of the heat exchanger and enhanced reliability of its operation. 2 cl, 3 dwg
