FIELD: instrumentation, flaw detection, structural spectroscopy, thickness measurement. SUBSTANCE: converter includes leak-proof body filled with damping fluid, protector in the form of cone or pyramid and commutator. Base of protector is one wall of body. Piezoelement comprising two electrically insulated parts is anchored inside body on base. Parts of piezoelement are monolithically interjoined by means of boundary surfaces oriented perpendicular to base of protector. Commutator ensures cophasal or counterphase connection of parts of piezoelement. In case of counterphase connection of parts of piezoelement it accomplishes flexural vibrations. EFFECT: widened band of working frequencies, reduced inherent noise and simplified design of converter. 2 cl, 1 dwg
