ULTRASONIC LOW-FREQUENCY CONVERTER Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC H04R17/00

Abstract RU 2584063 C1

FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for investigation of large-grained and non-homogeneous materials by ultrasound. Invention consists in that transducer comprises housing accommodating first, second, third and fourth piezoelectric elements. Second piezoelectric element is mounted in housing symmetrically to first piezoelectric element relative to acoustic axis of transducer, fourth piezoelectric element is arranged in housing symmetrically to third piezoelectric element relative to acoustic axis of transducer, distance from first piezoelectric element to a second piezoelectric element is selected equal to distance from third piezoelectric element to fourth piezoelectric element, and distance from first piezoelectric element to third piezoelectric element is chosen equal to distance from first piezoelectric element to fourth piezoelectric element. Housing is equipped with a protector for contact with surface of monitored article in point. Electric terminal of first piezoelectric element and electric terminal of second piezoelectric element are interconnected in anti-phase manner and form first electric terminal of low frequency ultrasonic transducer, electric terminal of third piezoelectric element and electric terminal of fourth piezoelectric element are interconnected in anti-phase manner and form second electric terminal of low frequency ultrasonic transducer. After installation of low-frequency ultrasonic transducer sharp working end of tread on surface of product under investigation to conclusion suggested by electric driving voltage U1(t) and fed to electric terminal driving voltage U2(t), is removed from electrical terminals of received signals for further processing of amplitude-phase in receive path.

EFFECT: technical result is broader functional capabilities and field of use of converter.
