FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, shanks for drills adapted for sowing of cereals, leguminous and vegetable crops. SUBSTANCE: shank has furrow cutting disk, seed guide, locking valve, and covering device, which restricts plowing depth. Furrow cutting disk has wedge-shaped peripheral edge with rounded wedge. Seed guide has lower front part making double-sided sweeper. Locking valve is pivotally mounted on pin inside seed guide and has center of gravity offset with respect to pin. Covering device is mounted on frame behind seed guide. Pressure spring is positioned on carrier bar. Furrow cutting disk rotates on pin fixed on drill frame. Shank of such construction allows conditions for intensified emergence of germs to be created. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved development of plants. 5 dwg
