FIELD: agriculture, in particular, poultry farming. SUBSTANCE: battery has cages arranged on tiered carcass. Each cage has front grid fixed on bearing members for altering its position throughout the height depending on bird's age, rear and side grids, inclined floor grid, feeder mounted along front grid, eggs collector positioned under feeder, and egg chute. Carrier members are made in the form of cable fixed in horizontal position on carcass. Front grid is provided with upper and lower hooks arranged in its upper part and separated from one another in height by distance equal to vertical pitch of grid meshes. Front grid for young birds is fixed on cable by means of upper hooks so that its lower part closes eggs chute. Front grid for layers is fixed on the same cable by means of lower hooks so that its lower part is arranged at the level of feeder front edge to provide for chute free for rolling eggs. EFFECT: reduced metal usage, production costs and labor intensity, and simplified maintenance of cage battery. 7 cl, 9 dwg
