FIELD: separation of heterogeneous media in cyclones provided with protective linings; concentration of minerals; metallurgy; mining, chemical and wood-pulp and paper industries. SUBSTANCE: cyclone housing includes cylindrical and taper sections connected together including end flanges, casings and protective linings made in form of cylinders and cones fastened together; protective linings of cylindrical and taper sections are made from lining mass on base of binder and filler, for example polycrystalline silicon carbide. Protective linings of cylindrical and taper sections are reinforced with rods which are rigidly connected with end flanges forming reinforcing framework. Method of manufacture of cyclone housing includes molding of cylindrical and taper sections including end flanges, as well as molding of casings and protective linings made in form of cylinders and cones fastened together and connected with end flanges. In molding cylindrical and taper sections of housing, end flanges are preliminarily interconnected by means of rods forming reinforcing framework; then, protective linings are molded on reinforcing framework from lining mass on base of binder and filler by means of mandrel and slip forms, after which casings are molded on protective linings by any known method. EFFECT: reduced friability; enhanced vibration strength; facilitated procedure of molding protective linings; low cost; increased service life of cyclone. 4 cl, 6 dwg
