CYCLONE CASING AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF CYCLONE CASING Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for separating of non-homogeneous media, in particular, mineral concentration in mining, metallurgical, chemical and pulp-and-paper industry.

SUBSTANCE: cyclone casing has cylindrical and conical sections connected with one another and including end flanges, and housings and protective rubber liners made in the form of cylinders and cones secured with one another and with end flanges. Protective rubber liners of cylindrical and conical sections of casing are reinforced with rods, which are rigidly connected with end flanges to form reinforcing carcasses. Method involves forming cylindrical and conical sections of casing including end flanges, as well as housings and protective rubber liners made in the form of cylinders and cones secured with one another and with end flanges; initially forming protective liners from crude rubber on mandrel; curing and forming housings. During forming of cylindrical and conical sections of casing, end flanges are preliminarily connected with one another by rods to form reinforcing carcasses in two stages: first stage including placing first layer of crude rubber onto mandrel and putting reinforcing carcasses onto said layer, and second stage including placing second layer of crude rubber and curing. After curing procedure, housings are formed on resultant protective liners, as well as on mandrels, by any known method.

EFFECT: increased vibration resistance and prolonged service life of protective rubber liners, cylindrical and conical sections and, on the whole, of cyclone casing.
