FIELD: public utilities. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cleaning of roads from snow and ice, namely, for melting of snow and ice removed from pavement. Proposed snow-melting plant contains intake hopper with movable grid installed over melting chamber. Movable grid is formed by horizontal drive shafts with disks installed square to direction of charging of hopper. Disks are rigidly secured and uniformly spaced over shaft length. Hammers are installed between each pair of disk in screw line relative to shaft. Hammer of one shaft are arranged in staggered order relative to hammers of other shaft. Shafts are furnished with group reversible rotation electric drive. EFFECT: improved throughput capacity of movable grid. 5 dwg
