FIELD: heating systems.

SUBSTANCE: plant for preparing snow mass for melting includes melting chamber, receiving hopper with movable grid, frame with discs and hammers. Frame of movable grid is made in the form of beams with pins equally spaced in their upper part and tubes which connect beams. Each drive shaft of movable grid is equipped with flange made in the form of channels with support ribs, connected to bearing housings and rigidly connected to each other with ballast tube, and interconnecting with the holes made in support part of channels and tube to pins of beams with possibility of vertical movement till they are borne against receiving hopper elements adjacent to bearing housings. Frame of movable grid is installed along the perimeter of melting chamber.

EFFECT: achieving reliability and long life time at operation, eliminating time-consuming manual operations, improving efficiency of process of mixing and sieving icy snow mass.
