FIELD: geophysics. SUBSTANCE: invention deals with search for and testing of oil and gas deposits, with detection of zones of activation of present-day movements of earth's crust, abyssal geodeformation processes of natural and technogenic origin, with mapping from day surface of volumes of fluid for injection and removal from geological environment. In compliance with first variant samples are taken from surface layer in chosen points of explored territory. Concentration of radon is established in selected samples, intensity of atmospheric electric field is found in each chosen point of explored territory. Sections with results of measured parameters different from background are highlighted. Judgment on presence of anomalous seepage of volatile gases to surface in highlighted sections is made by coincidence of extreme values of intensity of atmospheric electric field and concentration of radon. According to second variant samples are taken in chosen points of explored territory from surface layer, concentration of at least one component of volatile gas and of radon in them is established.
