FIELD: transport engineering; crawler vehicles. SUBSTANCE: proposed road wheel contains rim with grooves on inner surface, hub and disks welded to rim and hub. Inner wall of grooves is formed by ring welded to rim, and outer wall, by weld of disks to rim. Ring is made, for instance, of bent round bars. Radial clearance is provided between disk and rim to accommodate disk weld. Welds of disk to rim and hub are reinforced by rings welded to disk. Rings strengthening the welds are bent of rectangular rolled sections. EFFECT: simplified process of manufacture of hollow road wheel with provision of high strength and carrying capacity at low metal usage. 7 cl, 1 dwg
